The WPS Care Management approach is designed to help members manage and improve their health, keep control of health care costs, and prevent them from rising up the risk spectrum. We focus on educating and helping members self-manage their symptoms to achieve these goals.
WPS is committed to providing our valued members with a better health care experience through Case Management. Every case manager is a registered nurse who assists with health care concerns, answers questions regarding health care conditions, and helps overcome challenges in the health care system.
Maternity Program
We are honored to support our members and their families on their pregnancy journey. WPS’ Maternity Program seeks to improve health outcomes for both parents and their infants. This program can help members better understand their health care benefits and better manage their personal health care during and after pregnancy.
Our Case Management program for pregnant members works to eliminate health care barriers for better health outcomes for the parent and infant.
Chronic condition management is critical to managing the health of a population, and WPS has developed a rigorous and flexible program to address these needs. To manage each member’s health and help control costs, the condition management program identifies and manages members with moderate and rising risk conditions. Our aim is to improve overall health and avoid having members rise up the risk ladder.
Pulmonary Care
With health care costs are soaring, employers are looking to identify opportunities to manage employee health and cut costs. Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are conditions with significant impacts on member health and employee productivity.
WPS has partnered with Express Scripts and Propeller Health to provide an empowering pulmonary care program. The program provides a doctor-recommended, clinically proven way to manage asthma and COPD. This program is only available if Express Scripts is the Pharmacy Benefit Manager.
Cardiometabolic Care
Omada® for Prevention provides health coach to keep you on track, wireless smart scales to monitor progress, and a personalized dashboard to guide your journey. The program also offers a online community tailored to your interests and interactive weekly lessons.

The goal of WPS’ Utilization Management (UM) program is to ensure members receive appropriate care of the highest quality, and members and groups receive the most value. Our team of specialists serves as a trusted partner to employers and members, assisting them in navigating the complex health care system.
Telehealth
Telehealth services for General Medicine, Primary360, Dermatology, and Mental Health are available through Teladoc Health. Members can talk to board-certified doctors by phone or video 24/7. They’re empowered to request a visit on demand or schedule it for the time that works best for them.
Smoking Cessation
WPS can help members kick the habit and save money at the same time. Members 18 or older have access to certain nicotine replacements and drugs used to help overcome tobacco addiction.
Fitness Solutions
Through our partnership with American Specialty Health Incorporated, WPS Health Insurance offers the Active&Fit Direct™ Program. The Active&Fit Direct™ Program gives members access to 12,200+ participating fitness centers for $28 a month (plus a $28 enrollment fee and applicable taxes) and other perks.
This program is designed to help members stay active and reward them for going to the gym. They help make it easier to get the exercise everyone needs. The benefits of exercise include less stress, weight control, and stronger muscles and bones. This can help lead to better health, more productivity, and happier members.
